A balmy vintage in 2022 led to perfect growing conditions for Eden Valley Riesling with high quality fruit. Fermented slightly cooler than its drier cousin, the longer ferment allowed for maximum expression of character. The ferment was stopped with 45g of residual sugar when the wine was at its floral best with citrus driven acidity bringing balance to the richness of the palate. The vintage conditions lent themselves well to high quality, expressive white wines in 2022 and this is no exception.

Tasting Notes

Lemon sherbet, citrus blossom and candied ginger immediately jump out of the glass. The generosity of the palate is highlighted by white fleshed stone fruit and honied florals, finishing crisply with juicy acidity – the perfect foil to any lingering sweetness. Ideal with something spicy or to accompany that Sunday afternoon cheeseboard.
