Hand picked and gently destemmed, the varieties grow together in the vineyard and ferment together in open fermenters for 7 days while being pumped over twice daily by hand. They then mature together for 24 months in 20% new French and 80% seasoned puncheons. Our best estimate is 85% Grenache, 15% Mataro.
Tasting NotesLayered notes of cherry, raspberry compote, dark chocolate, and dried spice. The Grenache sings through on the palate with red and dark berry fruits backed by the earthy savory finish that only Mataro can provide. A medium bodied Grenache wine with plenty of fine structural tannins that finishes long. The wine has sufficient structure to reward patient cellaring for at least a decade. Delicious paired with great salumi. Download Full Tasting Note
Reviews"The mataro is so pronounced here – it gives off an earthy, almost minty aroma of mulberries and licorice root. The palate is where the grenache shines, it is redolent of raspberry and dustings of raw cocoa. There is a lot of pleasure here." 94 Points. Erin Larkin, 2023 Wine Companion
After hand-picking, grapes were destemmed prior to fermentation in open top vessels and carefully managed through twice daily pump overs. After pressing, the wines were allowed to mature in a mix of new (30%) and seasoned French oak barriques prior to blending. Further time in bottle has allowed the wine to develop greater depth and complexity that will only continue as time goes on.
Tasting NotesPerfumed and varietal with classic Cabernet aromas of cassis, dark-berried fruit and plum. Time in glass has afforded the wine further complexity with overtones of clove, anise and tobacco leaf that creates an intriguing array of aromas that carry well onto the palate. Wholesome and generous, this is a classic Eden Valley Cabernet with fine structural tannins driving a long and savoury finish. Download Full Tasting Note
Reviews"Concentrated and intense, this is saturated – positively dripping – with flavour. Blueberries, fresh soft licorice, poached raspberries and fennel flower compose the core, while exotic spice and resinous oak frame the picture. The carriage of flavour across the palate hints at the quality of fruit that goes into it. The memory of it lingers long after the wine is gone." 94 Points. Erin Larkin, 2023 Wine Companion.
A balmy vintage in 2022 led to perfect growing conditions for Eden Valley Riesling with high quality fruit resulting in a classic Hutton Vale wine. Fermented cool over a 14-day period in stainless steel, the resulting wine jumps out of the glass with vitality.
Tasting NotesZesty and driven, the fresh citrus fruit is lifted by perfumed delicate florals and struck flint. A zip of acidity on the palate balances well the generosity of fruit, with a long and textured finish. Drink cold on a hot day for maximum refreshment or, if you have the patience, squirrel a few away to be rewarded over the next 5-10 years. Download Full Tasting Note
A balmy vintage in 2022 led to perfect growing conditions for Eden Valley Riesling with high quality fruit. Fermented slightly cooler than its drier cousin, the longer ferment allowed for maximum expression of character. The ferment was stopped with 45g of residual sugar when the wine was at its floral best with citrus driven acidity bringing balance to the richness of the palate. The vintage conditions lent themselves well to high quality, expressive white wines in 2022 and this is no exception.
Tasting NotesLemon sherbet, citrus blossom and candied ginger immediately jump out of the glass. The generosity of the palate is highlighted by white fleshed stone fruit and honied florals, finishing crisply with juicy acidity – the perfect foil to any lingering sweetness. Ideal with something spicy or to accompany that Sunday afternoon cheeseboard. Download Full Tasting Note

The resulting wine was matured for 24 months in new (30%) and seasoned French oak hogsheads prior to careful racking and blending. A further two years in bottle has allowed the wine to develop further complexity.
Tasting NotesBrooding dark red fruit, plum, black pepper, anise, and cedar spice drive a complex array of aromatics. The aromas carry on to a palate that is rich and generous, with fine elegant tannins that accentuate the wine’s length. Reviews"A special vineyard that routinely expresses blueberries laced with graphite, sheets of hung deli meat, raspberry, ground white pepper, fresh nutmeg and littered with crushed pink peppercorns. The fruit shines in a way that evokes memories of the nearby landscape... towering gum trees, exposed granite boulders in places, and fresh, open air. This is spicy, layered and nuanced. It's really good." - 96 Points. Erin Larkin. 2023 Wine Companion
